How Do I ZIP a File?

Windows XP and Vista
The support to make a zip file is built right in to Windows! All you have to do is select a file, a group of files, or a folder and right-click with your mouse. There's a choice there for "Send to", and if you put your mouse over it, "Compressed (zipped) folder" is one of the choices. Just select that and it's all done.

Mac OS X
The support to make a zip file is built into your Mac! Simply select the file, group of files, or folder on your Finder menu. Then from the File menu, choose "Create Archive". You're done!
